1. Judges 3:1 speaks of God leaving nations in the land to teach battle to those who had not known it before. Are there trials/tests in our culture that God may have allowed to teach us spiritual battle?

2. Elimelech went on a short visit to Moab and he ended up remaining there. Have you ever had an experience where, because of circumstances, you make a temporary change and then it becomes permanent? How can we know if that is God's will?

3. The boys took foreign wives...what was the danger in that? Is there an application today? 4. What do you think was going on in Naomi's heart that made her want to go back to Bethlehem? Is there something, or some place, that you feel God calling you to return to?
