1. I mentioned that these opening verses are like a hymn of superlatives. Which one speaks the most to you and why?

2. One of the descriptors used of Jesus is that he is the “exact imprint of God’s nature”. Think a bit about what you know of Jesus. What insights does it give you into the nature of God?

3. In their conversation about how the universe began, Physical Chemist & Atheist told Christian Mathematician that it was his conviction that mathematics explained it al. Dr. Lennox’s answer was, “2+2=4 but that has never put $4 in your pocket. Mathematics doesn’t create anything.” What did he mean by that?

4. Chapter 1 concludes with a lengthy discussion of how Jesus is superior to angels. Thinking of how the Bible describes angels, try making a list of their characteristics.
