1. If you were the widow in the story, would you have shouted, fainted, run away or done something else entirely?

2. Which aspects of the story of the banquet at Simon’s house interest you most and why?

3. John the Baptist’s response to the news he’s heard of Jesus actually causes him to doubt. Has Jesus ever done things in your life that have caused doubt? What encouragement for times of doubt do you find in Jesus’ response to John’s question?

4. Pastor Tim finished with two questions: a) Which slice are you on; b) If you are on Jesus’ slice, where are you on it? How have you processed those questions in your own mind?
