Sermon Discussion Questions:

1. As you consider the quote by Frederick Buchner ("Doubts are the ants in the pants of faith... they keep it awake and moving"), how can doubt be beneficial to our faith? Or even spur us on to greater faith?

2. Why do you think it is natural for believers to count God's faithfulness? John had literally heard a message from God concerning Jesus, yet he still had doubts. How can we go deeper with God in moments of doubt?

3. Of the three categories of doubt mentioned (intellectual, spiritual and circumstantial), which one's are most pesky in your life? Why?

4. What are some of the reservoirs of faith in your life? How has God built up your faith reserves?
