2. John the Baptist reminded the Jews he was preaching that being right with God was a matter of the heart, not their heritage as children of Abraham. What are some things you think people today can put confidence in spiritually that can’t guarantee God’s favor?
3. When people asked John what they should do to repent, he gave very practical and personal instructions. Thinking about your own life, where are some places God has asked you to repent? What action did that require?
4. What do you think about Pastor Tim’s theory about the dove? How does the imagery of Jesus’ baptism speak to your heart?

2. In John 10:14-15, Jesus compares the shared knowledge between Himself and His flock to the shared knowledge between Himself and His Father. What does that mean?
3. Jesus talks about calling other sheep out of other sheep pens to join His flock. What sheep pens has the Good Shepherd called you out of?
4. Spend some time meditating on Psalm 23 and the Shepherd's great love for you.
