"In (his book) Thirsting for Living Water, Mantel invites readers to join him on this adventure and open their eyes to their own stories of God's faithfulness. It’s an invitation to see where God is already at work: at home, among neighbors, and to the ends of the earth. Here is a story of the holistic gospel, driven by compassion, justice, and mercy, with Jesus at the center. Here is an inspiring vision of a unified, global church--in which each of us has a vital role to play." - from www.michaeljmantel.com

Witnesses in a Cosmic Court Case - Dan Stephenson
Monday Jul 18, 2022
Monday Jul 18, 2022
Witnesses In A Cosmic Court Case with Dan Stephenson
1. Read the whole chapter – Isaiah 43. Call out some of the things you see that reflect God’s activity in the world and his superiority over false “gods.”
2. Practice giving your testimony to somebody “friendly” and get some feedback. If you’re in a group setting, have three people give testimonies. The rest should write down their testimonies when they get a chance. Note: if you became a believer at a young age, talk about the reasons you believe today and what God has done in your life.
3. Who, or what, are some of today’s false “gods”?
4. Go listen to the song “Evidence” by Josh Baldwin – if you can, put the lyrics in front of you as you listen. In what ways do you see the evidence of God’s goodness “all over your life”?
5. Testing your memory – see if you can define the following legal terms about witnesses: 1. “Percipient” witness 2. “Propensity” for truth-telling 3. “Foundation”
