2. Jesus talked aboaut giving a brother or sister a rebuke. Do you find it harder to give or receive a rebuke? Why? When is a rebuke important? How can you do it without losing a friend?
3. Jesus put more emphasis on forgiving than He did on rebuking. Is forgiveness easy or hard for you?
4. What lesson does the mustard seed have to teach us about faith and forgiveness?

1. Do you like movies about clever con jobs? If so, what is one of your favorites? Why do you think Jesus chose to teach a good lesson using a sneaking character (Luke 16:1-13)?
2. Thinking about the two parables Jesus told, what difference does it make if we view our resources as something we are entitled to or entrusted with?
3. In Luke 16:15, Jesus talks about something being an "abomination" in the sight of God. What does that word mean (feel free to grab a dictionary)? What is it that Jesus calls an abomination? Why?
4. Jesus seems to be warning some very smart people about their habit of justifying bad behavior. Have you ever caught yourself rationalizing or justifying something you knew wasn't right? If you're brave, share what it was and how you tried to convince yourself it was really okay.

1. What does it mean to grumble? Was there something in your childhood that you grumbled about? If you have time and a Bible concordance, try looking up all the uses of "grumble" (grumbled, grumbling). What is the problem with grumbling?
2. Compare and contrast the three stories. What is similar? What is different? How does each complement the others?
3. If Jesus walked into our community, what is something He might do that might surprise some Christians and give Him a chance to re-tell these stories of lost things being found?
4. Which characters in these stories do you identify with and why?

1. Do you know the story of your name? Why was it given to you? What does it mean?
2. The angel's greeting to Mary as a favored or graced person (Luke 1:28) has led to controversy, with some thinking Mary was given a special role in dispensing grace. What did you learn about this controversy?
3. What did you learn and what is significant to you about the name of Jesus?
4. The book of Revelation uses lots of imagery, some of it hard to understand. In Revelation 2:17, we are told that God will someday give a new name to those who conquer. What kinds of things do you think God may incorporate into the new names He gives His children?
