1. Were there any rituals in your home that happened every year? If so, what were they and how did you feel about them?
2. Peter had a vision where God told him to eat foods that Peter believed were absolutely not allowed for him to eat. If you were in Peter's place and God wanted to ask you in a vision to do something you would never dream of doing, what would it be?
3. Why do you think God chose to send Peter to Cornelius' house?
4. Why do you think the Holy Spirit made his presence known in these Gentile believers before Peter had even baptized them? (Acts 10:44-48)
5. This story is all about God's Spirit breaking down barriers between people. Are there any barriers you can identify in your life, now or in the past, that have kept you from reaching out to certain people?

3. Paul regularly advised gentleness when dealing with difficult people (look up Galatians 6:1-3, Ephesians 4:1-3, 2 Timothy 2:24-25, Titus 3:1-3). In what types of situations do you find it difficult to exercise gentleness? Why?
